The couple, who are already parents to five-year-old son Buster, took to their social media channels to announce the wonderful news this week with a fantastic picture.
The big reveal was a family affair, with a playfully shocked-looking Buster standing in front of a sign which read: “Only child expiring December 2015”. Meanwhile, a beaming Matthew held up a placard reading “Baby #2”, pointing towards Charley’s tummy.
A delighted Matthew, who plays David Metcalfe in the beloved British soap, couldn’t help but gush as he thanked followers for their well wishes.

“Wow…Overwhelmed by all the congrats tweets!! Thank you so much, we are soooo excited!! Xxx,” wrote the 35-year-old.
Charley and Matthew got engaged back in 2009. While they went on to briefly split two years ago, they have since reconciled and appear to be happier than ever.
