We love the quirky names, the beautiful portraits and the candid insights into family life; but it seems Jamie and Jools Oliver really are ‘done’ having babies, for good.
In a new interview, with ITV’s This Morning, the ‘Naked Chef’ joked that it’s probably time to be ‘spayed’, after welcoming fifth child River Rocket.
“I think we’re done, I need to be taken to a vet and 'spaded',” he said, before being corrected by show host Phil Schofield.
“Oh, spayed – maybe spaded would be more thorough?!” he joked.
Jamie’s latest comments come just months after he admitted that he and Jools never planned on having five children.
“I thought we’d have a couple of kids, but that’s about it. Basically, I do what I’m told, but Jools is an amazing family-maker and I just go with it,” he said.
It’s been a case of ‘all hands on deck’ over the past six weeks, since the arrival of second son River.
Indeed, the entire Oliver clan – 14-year-old Poppy, 13-year-old Daisy, seven-year-old Petal, and six-year-old Buddy – have been only too happy to help out with the newest addition to the family.
Is it bad that we kind of want them to go again?!
