Whether they're fond, heartwarming or best left undiscussed, anyone who has ever exchanged vows is likely to recall at least part of their day.
This isn't, however, guaranteed as one young bride discovered after a devastating road traffic accident in 2014.
Having been rear-ended by another vehicle just weeks after she said 'I do', 20-year-old Justice Stamper was devastated to realise she had no memory of the day she wed her husband, Jeremy.
While overjoyed to have walked away from the devastating accident with her life, Justice was heartbroken to realise her memory had been wiped clean, leaving her with no recollection of the day she became Jeremy's proud wife.
Initially reluctant to share the news with her new husband, Justice finally admitted her concerns.
Recalling the moment he became aware of the extent of his wife's injuries, Jeremy said: "She said to me, 'I don't want you to be mad, but I do not remember the wedding.' I, of course, was very upset, but I told her right then and there, 'We will do it again.'
Determined to recreate a day his wife can commit to memory, Jeremy has sought the help of friends and family while also establishing a GoFundMe page.
Explaining his motivation, Jeremy said: "She didn't even know we were married. She couldn't believe it. I was heartbroken and instantly said I would do it all for her again."
The devoted husband has planned the wedding for August 1st while also aiding his wife's recovery who is currently struggling with PTSD.
The determined young man is adamant his wife will be given the day she so richly deserves, telling People magazine: "Our first wedding was beautiful and perfect, but this time, I want Justice to truly be blown away. She really deserves it."
